Although Saint Karapat is not the first church in the city, it is the only one that has remained untouched throughout the years. The previous two churches have been demolished and forgotten.
Established in 1915, the Saint Karapat Church was built to accommodate the Armenian folks who had chosen the city for residence.
There has even been a school made for the Armenian kids to educate.
Nowadays, as there are not any Christians living in the city, no religious ceremonies are being held in the church anymore.
